Today’s release contains improvements in several areas including the Orchestra Master Scheduler, Payment Plan, Lunch Ordering / Shopping Cart and our QuickSchools API:

New Improved Payment Plan module

Here is a list of the latest QuickSchools improvements:

Master Scheduler Improvements

  • Improve Course Request Import via SFTP
  • Improve adding/removing of Max Sections in Step 1
  • Cosmetic bug fixes when searching for teachers in Step 4
  • Beta option to move sections with enrollment in Step 4
  • Improve Step 5 Advanced Search with the new Minimize/Maximize function
  • Exclude deleted courses from Teachers sections
  • Improve how empty sections are displayed in teacher’s Schedule PDF
  • Beta option to hide Weekly Schedule

Payment Plan

  • Option to configure the number of Retries after a failed payment
  • Option to configure the wait time to retry after a failed payment
  • Option to “Charge Now” for Admin
  • Support to back date schedule for new Payment Plans
  • Email Notification for Failed Payments, with option to CC/BSS additional email addresses

Lunch Ordering / Shopping Cart

  • Improve the Sales Order PDF to include Subtotal and Credits Used
  • Support Mark-Up when Checking Out with Credits
  • Bug Fix Manual Orders with Mark-Ups
  • Fix how meal types are handled for new academic terms

API Support

  • API Support for Engage CRM
  • API Support for Student ID Card on Mobile

We’ve been adding new features to the Payment Plan, Lunch Ordering / Shopping Cart and the Master Scheduler modules on an ongoing basis over the past several months. We’ll be updating documentation on these modules, and will provide a consolidated view of all these new improvements in the coming weeks. Keep a look out for those.

2023 Kickoff Webinar

It’s finally here! QuickSchools’ first webinar of the year is scheduled for Thursday, February 23 at 11 AM PST / 2 PM EST.

Since our last Product Roadmap webinar in May 2022, we’ve launched and improved modules that rely on our Online Payments framework with Stripe, which includes:

  • Shopping Cart (with Lunch Ordering)
  • Payment Plan
  • Admissions / Online Forms

We’ll be revisiting some of these new improvements in more detail. We’ll also be discussing our soon-to-be-released Engage CRM, which is an extension of our Admissions module, to be offered as a standalone product.

In our ideal world, for a school, there is no other satisfying moment than to see your student, who used to be a 6th grader, now become a high school graduate. Perhaps you even knew them since Kindergarten! It is a harsh reality that sometimes parents do take their kids out of a school. The reasons behind them enrolling their children in a different school may vary. It could be reasons unrelated to the school’s performance. For instance, parents have to be relocated for career-related reasons hence they have to withdraw their child from the current school. However, there are also parents who are unhappy in their current school which results in families leaving schools. 

Today, we will be discussing efforts that can be made in order to keep student families happy and ensure returning students for the following semesters. Since the students and their families are the reason the school is open, it is important to understand why they may leave and how you can prevent this from happening.
