New UI for Orchestra Master Scheduler

QuickSchools is proud to announce the release of a new UI for the Orchestra Master Scheduler (currently in Beta). This is just a front end change, so you can freely switch between the new UI and the original UI, in case you prefer one version over the other:

The main page is now organized into 7 clear steps, making navigation easier. Key tools like Teacher Scheduler and Load Students are front and center, while less-used modules are neatly tucked away for quick access.

2023 Year in Review

I can’t believe that the last time I wrote a “Year in Review” was for 2020 for QuickSchools – a whole 3 years ago. How time flies! Azreen wrote one for 2021 – Bringing 2021 to a close. So I guess we only skipped a year.

Orchestra Master Scheduler

The big focus for 2023 has been the Orchestra Master Scheduler. We made several improvements to the module, and beefed up its overall performance, robustness and usability.

Some of the new features to highlight include:

  • Course Load (i.e. Caseload by Teacher and Course)
  • Room Assignment and Room Conflicts
  • Section Assignment by Tags (Course Request Tags, Student Tags and Teacher Tags)
  • Improved Email Notifications to Students and Teachers
  • Expanded Functionality for Add/Drop History
  • Support for Duplicate Course Requests

Payment Plan App

We introduced a new Payment Plan App that allows schools to schedule automatic charges to credit cards.

Discussion highlights include:

  • A brief overview of the philosophy guiding design decisions for the Orchestra Master Scheduler (OMS)
  • A summary of current features and capabilities
  • Latest improvements which include the “Next Course” functionality, and the “Build and Load” process

This webinar is suitable for school administrators and principals. We also welcome current OMS users and those looking for a scheduling system to help them simplify their work.
