We have a new app in Private Beta<\/a> that was released earlier this month<\/a>. The Google Drive Integration app allows schools to backup files in QuickSchools<\/a> by copying them to Google Drive:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since this app is in Private Beta, you\u2019ll need to request access from our support team. Once beta access is granted, the app will appear under your \u201cApp Store<\/em>\u201d > \u201cMy Apps<\/em>\u201d menu. Click on \u201cConfigure<\/em>\u201d to configure access to the app:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The app will appear under the \u201cBackups<\/em>\u201d > \u201cGoogle Drive Integration<\/em>\u201d menu. The first thing you\u2019ll need is to create an API Key to access your Google Drive account (similar to the Integration with Google Classroom<\/a>). You would key this in at the bottom of the screen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once the app is connected, you\u2019ll have the ability to \u201cCreate File Back-Up<\/em>\u201d:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Right now, this app only supports Documents for students, but in the future, we\u2019ll support other modules too:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Specify QuickSchools module to back up, as well as location of back-up in Google Drive<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

IMPORTANT BEHAVIOUR: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The current integration does not overwrite any existing files. So if you back-up the same file again, you\u2019ll end up with 2 copies of the same file. For this reason, we recommend that you always specify a new folder when creating a new back-up, and then remove\/delete the previous back-up folder in Google Classroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Private Beta: <\/strong>This app is currently provided as-is at no cost, but for a limited time (as we collect feedback from users). Once the app is finalized, a subscription price may be incurred.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
