If you\u2019re using our Standards-Based Gradebook (SBG)<\/a> app from our App Store<\/a>, you have the option of sharing the latest grades and assessments with your parents\/students. This is simply done by configuring the app in QuickSchools<\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n

There are several options for restricting parent\/student access to SBG grades from their respective portals. Here we discuss the available options:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
DEFAULT (FULL) ACCESS<\/span><\/p>\n

  • Show List of Standards<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Show Grade for each Standard<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Show Assessments for each Standard<\/span><\/li>\n

    All Grades and Assessments are hidden<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

    Default (FULL) Access<\/b><\/h2>\n

    By default, students and parents have full access to all data from the Gradebook, which includes the following:<\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
    • List of Standards<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Grade for each Standard (including Calculation Formula)<\/span><\/li>\n
    • List of Assessments for each Standard<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Grade for each Assessment<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Clicking on \u201cSee Gradebook\u201d for a particular subject lists standards for that subject:<\/span><\/p>\n

      Clicking on a standard will display the assessments for that standard, along with grades for each assessment. The calculated grade for the standard is also displayed:<\/span><\/p>\n

      Hide Grade for Standards<\/b><\/h2>\n

      In this case, the school may decide to hide the calculated grade for each standard, especially if you feel like a running calculation is misleading. And if you leave the Assessments visible, what you end up with is the following info for parents: <\/span><\/p>\n

      • List of Standards<\/span><\/li>\n
      • List of Assessments for each Standard<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Grade for each Assessment<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Hide Assessments for Standards<\/b><\/h2>\n

        In this case, the school has decided not to share the details of each assessment, since it might be too much information for parents to handle. And if the school decides to leave the Grade for the Standards visible, what you end up with is a list of Standards and their corresponding running calculation for grade:<\/span><\/p>\n

          In this case, school wants to give only limited access to parents. Parents will only see a list of Standards for each subject, without any grades or assessments. <\/span><\/p>\n
