Have you configured your report cards in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.quickschools.com\">QuickSchools<\/a>? For first timers, or schools looking to update their report card formats, here\u2019s a tip on how you can add a Conduct (sometimes called \u201cBehaviour\u201d, \u201cCitizenship\u201d or \u201cCharacter Development\u201d) section to your report cards. This section is more typical of elementary\/primary grade levels.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">There are 2 main ways of setting up a conduct section, and they both have their own benefits and drawbacks:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight:400;\"><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">Set up \u201cConduct\u201d directly on the Report Card Template (Main method)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight:400;\"><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">Set up \u201cConduct\u201d as a Subject<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">Some key differences are discussed below:<\/span><\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><b>\u201cConduct\u201d directly on Report Cards<\/b><\/td>\n<td><b>\u201cConduct\u201d as a Subject<\/b><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><b>Configuration<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">The Conduct criteria is configured ONCE directly into the Report Card configuration.<\/span><\/td>\n<td><b>Configuration<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">You have to create a \u201cConduct\u201d subject, and link it to the appropriate teacher and students.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight:400;\">You then need to create a \u201cSubject-Specific Criteria\u201d template for your Report Cards that contains your \u201cConduct\u201d criteria. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight:400;\">Finally, the subject template will need to be applied to all \u201cConduct\u201d subjects. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight:400;\">NOTE: From term to term, if new Conduct subjects are created, you\u2019ll need to re-assign the subject template to that \u201cConduct\u201d subject within the Report Card session.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><b>Usage<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">Teachers need to use (and can only use) the main \u201cReport Cards\u201d menu to save evaluations for each student. This means that teachers have to open each individual student record card to enter evaluations<\/span><\/td>\n<td><b>Usage<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">In addition to the main \u201cReport Cards\u201d menu, teachers can use the \u201cSubject-Based\u201d screen to submit evaluations for students, which is a lot simpler.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><b>Restrictions \/ Limitations<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">Report Card Template must support Report Card Level Criteria. Most templates support this.<\/span><\/td>\n<td><b>Restrictions \/ Limitations<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">Report Card Template must support the \u201cConduct\u201d type Subject-Specific Criteria. Example template is \u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">Contemporary Quarters<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">\u201d<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><b>Other Drawbacks<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">None.
