With the new <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.quickschools.com\/2018\/09\/04\/new-release-sprint-d12\/\">Sprint D12<\/a> release, school administrators can now limit this interaction. This might be useful if you find that teachers or parents accidentally send messages to the wrong people. There are 2 modules that now have support for restricting teacher-parent messaging:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Private Messaging<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mass (Parent) Messaging<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Restricting Private Messaging<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.quickschools.com\/2014\/03\/14\/how-to-private-message-from-the-parent-portal\/\">Private Messaging<\/a> is enabled for the Parent Portal, the system enables a Teacher Directory. When configuring the Parent Portal, there is now an additional option for \u201c<em>Parents can only send messages to teachers of their enrolled child<\/em>\u201d. This setting is available under \u201cSettings\u201d &gt; \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.quickschools.com\/2013\/05\/03\/managing-user-access-via-the-features-page\/\">Turn Features On \/ Off<\/a>\u201d, when you click \u201cConfigure\u201d for the <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.quickschools.com\/2015\/03\/28\/parent-portal-quick-guide\/\">Parent Portal<\/a> module:<\/span><\/p>\n<figure are teaching. Note however that Recipient Lists are currently still shared site-wide.
