Details below:<br><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.quickschools.com\/2021\/06\/01\/announcing-orchestra-master-scheduler\/\">https:\/\/blog.quickschools.com\/2021\/06\/01\/announcing-orchestra-master-scheduler\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We have a new Master Scheduler module that\u2019s coming into <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.quickschools.com\/2015\/05\/01\/hidden-features-and-private-beta\/\">Private Beta<\/a>. For the time being, this module is only available by request. Once the module is ready for prime-time, it will be made available on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.quickschools.com\">QuickSchools<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.quickschools.com\/2013\/08\/21\/new-quickschools-appstore\/\">App Store<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Unlike our existing \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.quickschools.com\/2015\/03\/11\/scheduling-a-video-tutorial\/\">Scheduling<\/a>\u201d module, which is designed more for elementary schools, the new \u201cMaster Scheduler\u201d module is modelled after a High School schedule. Here\u2019s a sample screenshot:<\/span><br><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-attachment-id=\"3956\" data-permalink=\"https:\/\/blog.quickschools.com\/master-scheduler-private-beta\/screen-shot-2018-04-12-at-5-04-18-pm\/\" data-orig-file=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/blog.quickschools.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/screen-shot-2018-04-12-at-5-04-18-pm.png?fit=990%2C1080&amp;ssl=1\" data-orig-size=\"990,1080\" data-comments-opened=\"1\" data-image-title=\"Screen Shot 2018-04-12 at 5.04.18 PM\" data-image-description=\"\" data-image-caption=\"\" data-large-file=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/blog.quickschools.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/screen-shot-2018-04-12-at-5-04-18-pm.png?fit=809%2C883&amp;ssl=1\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3956\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/blog.quickschools.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/screen-shot-2018-04-12-at-5-04-18-pm.png?resize=809%2C883&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Screen Shot 2018-04-12 at 5.04.18 PM\" width=\"809\" height=\"883\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">W<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ith this new Master Scheduler module, you can expect the following features:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manage a master list of courses for your group\/district<\/span>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manage your course offering by site and\/or by academic term.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Create course requests before the start of the academic term.<\/span>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Course requests can be created in bulk, like course packets<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can also allow students to requests courses via the Student Portal<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Allow counselors to manage\/edit course requests and alternates for their students<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Plan out sections based on target class sizes and course requests (Step 4: Schedule).<\/span>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Use our interactive UI to assign sections to periods and teachers<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assign students to sections based on course requests and available sections (Step 5: Load)<\/span>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Allow counselors to change section assignments for their students<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once sections are finalized, generate all sections and enrollments to the designated academic term<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Generate reports throughout every stage of the scheduling process<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>Schedule: Assign sections to periods<\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A key aspect of the QuickSchools Master Scheduler, is our interactive interface, where you can drag and drop sections into periods. The system calculates the ideal number of sections per course based on target section sizes and the number of course requests. There is a \u201cLoad\u201d algorithm that auto-assigns students to sections based on preferences and availability. You can of course manually assign students to sections too.
